Young Entrepreneur Series – Ben Cathers – Entrepreneur & Author

January 5, 2012

Ben CathersBen Cathers was 12 years old when he started his first company – a web marketing and advertising firm geared towards teenagers. By the time he was 15, the business had 10 employees and a marketing network of over 300 million advertisements a month. He was featured in the Silicon Alley Reporter as one of the “Top 12 companies in Silicon Alley to look out for”.

Ben was 17 when he left his marketing firm and started a syndicated radio show called Teen America. Teen America was picked up by a national syndicator and received clearance on numerous CBS radio and 50,000 watt stations. The radio show and company were instantly profitable.

Taking the lessons he learned in these two businesses, Ben wrote a book called “Conversations with Teen Entrepreneurs”. The book is widely available and can help students learn what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.
