Young Entrepreneur Series – Comcate

December 14, 2011

Ben Casnocha was 14 years old when he founded his second company, Comcate, a company that sells software designed to help local governments resolve citizen complaints. He came up with the idea for Comcate from a personal experience dealing with customer service.

Ben is also the author of “My Start-Up Life: What a (Very) Young CEO Learned on His Journey Through Silicon Valley”

Casnocha was named one of the nations top 25 entrepreneurs under 25 for his founding of Comcate. In addition, his blog has been named one of the top 25 in Silicon Valley. If these accomplishments weren’t enough, Casnocha also managed to be the captain of his high school basketball team and the editor of his high school’s newspaper. After high school, Casnocha took a year off to travel and work on a book about his experiences as a young entrepreneur.

Finally, Ben is an accomplished public speaker. He has spoken at dozens of universities and organizations around the world. Currently 23 years old, he offers a unique perspective on entrepreneurship, careers, and education. He also incubates and advises internet entrepreneurs at Wasabi Ventures. BusinessWeek named Ben “one of America’s top young entrepreneurs.” And dozens of outlets have covered his work including CNN, The Economist, and CNBC.
